Queen of Cups
Two days ago it was a full moon, one day after we did a fire outside for Beltaine. Shelley, Jean-Pierre’s friend, was making a fire and they were sharing a bottle of wine. I didn’t indulge because today it has been one month without drinking alcohol and I feel great. Now, on to ‘Fate’, ‘Destiny’ or ‘Spiritual Guidance’?

Just a little bit of preamble to explain. I have been developing this friendship / possible relationship with an old friend of my sisters, that I haven’t seen since the early 80’s. Fast-forward to a few nights ago with a fire on the full moon, 2 May. Like I was saying, I entered the salon in the inn, put my ‘release’ in the fire and sat down. Shelley picked up the cards that I had given her a week or so ago and said, “pick a card”. I took the deck, shuffled them, fanned them out and picked a card. I handed it to Shelley. She said, “Queen of Cups” and proceeded to read me about the card. As she did I was getting this wyrd feeling that this was about my friend. After she was done I went to get my Tarot and look up the card that represents my friend…the ‘Queen of Cups’...What are the chances of picking that card from 78? A sign…? Seems like a good one to me.
