Chocolate Heaven

Thanks Robin, for the cocoa, cocoa beans & chocolate. I received 2 parcels today, one from my sister and one from Jeff. I am most interested in the one from Robin and Emily has been wanting to open the Christmas gifts from Jeff all evening.

So the parcel from my sister, one bag was open a little and now I have a ½ cup of ground sun-dried cocoa, contained 1 bag of raw cocoa beans, 1 bag of sun-dried cocoa beans, 1 bag of ground raw cocoa, 1 bag (almost…minus ½ cup) of sun-dried cocoa, a piece of vanilla chocolate, 1 piece of chilli chocolate ( umm…nice and piquent) & 2 small pieces of chocolate with raw agave sweetener & raw dried cranberries. So I am officially in a state of bean heaven, due to the fact that I have been munching on cocoa beans and drinking espresso.

The inquisitive minds of 12 year olds…Améthyste was talking on the phone to a friend, as I walked by and popped a cocoa bean in my mouth. She said, “aren’t you supposed to make chocolate with those?” and I said no. She then told her friend what I was doing, then she turns to me and says, “can you make coffee with cocoa beans”? I reply, “No you make hot chocolate with cocoa beans and you make coffee with coffee beans”. I get this sort of dumb look…kids.

Thanks Jeff, for playing Santa’s elf, but now Emily has been spending the night telling me she can’t wait for Christmas to open the presents. She also says the small squashy one is for her and the round one in the bubble-wrap is for me…so my Sherlock Holmes deduction techniques kick in and tell me the other one with the card and the picture of the kitten and ‘Merry Christmas’ written on it, are for Améthyste…Am I right?

And to all a good-night!!!

Hi Randy, Just reading your blog.. glad you’re back at it. Watch those cacao beans.. those things will get you high! (..as I sit here with a big bowl of a raw ground cacao, honey and almond butter mixture, mmm! :) This is the real stuff. Oh, & ChocoSol needs a website too! They are great.. call themselves horizontal traders, antipreneurists.. Michael was working on a batch of Blood chocolate that he delevoped just before halloween, based on a recipe that went underground 4000 years ago when the Christians stepped in, wouldn’t let the Aztecs or Mayans make it anymore.. but now it’s out & it’s delicious & I have some that I got while it was still soft and being rolled out when I left last night, so I will join you in a little chocolate binge. And anyone else who wants to join.. don’t look to Hershey or Nestle, that stuff is not real & will give you at most a little sugar rush, contact me & I’ll hook you up. : )
g’night Randy, glad you got the parcel.
