I was just wondering how your Christmas meal and conversation went. I remember our last supper with Judith’s parents at the house she & her brothers grew up in. It was the last Christmas meal there and we had 21 people at the table. The problem with last suppers is that they can turn into these weird banter, rhetoric, conversation affairs.

I have never thought of this, but I do remember my grandparents when they decided to get a fake Christmas tree. It was probably late sixties – early seventies, and their tree was silver. I suppose as we get older and our children have moved away, this is a lot easier to deal with.

We got our Christmas tree, decorated it…we are almost finished, and are getting ready for the season. Emily also hung up our socks and did the Christmas village, we will move it to a table beside the tree…to make room for the gifts…lol. So we continue our expansion of traditions: I have found a few sites concerning Christmas season traditions. Most are of a religious bent, even though the Catholic church banned Christmas during the Reformation, because it was pagan, gotta love all those pagan traditions the church adapted to convert the locals to the Roman Church, we are not even dealing with Easter yet, bless her Norse heart.
