Using Windows7

So I have been using Windows7 for about a week, as my primary OS and it has been very stable and fast. It took about this long to get used to the new taskbar & Start menu …

Happy Merry 2008

So where oh where have I been … I have been to Halifax to visit the Queen, well sort of. It is a very English feeling city for the capital of Nuevo Scotland. I think Dougan would agree. Anyway, I have made the decision to move here and create a new life.

Inner Voice

If you have found your truth within yourself there is nothing more in this whole existence to find. Truth is functioning through you. When you open your eyes, it is truth opening his eyes. When you close your eyes, it is truth who is closing its eyes.

Lockdown in sector 4!

Just minding my own business, reinstalling my software after another cleaning of the C: drive. Opened Gmail to get my serial number for my FTP program, realised I didn’t have it and as I was trying to send my letter to tech support (it seemed to be taking a long time … this screen came up …

My House ... Bye House

I guess everything hinges on the house inspection tomorrow, at 10am. Well, this part of my life is hinging … or should I say dangling in mid-air. Just enough time to thank Odin for already doing the dangling thing … speaking of runes.

Ogle, The Lost & Found

Well now, I was having some frustrating moments last night. I lost my site, not sight, for a while. The database went missing. Well I actually exported it thinking I was making a copy. So while doing this new site design, I thought I had lost all my previous posts and had decided to start fresh, just like my life is doing … right now.

Queen of Cups

Two days ago it was a full moon, one day after we did a fire outside for Beltaine. Shelley, Jean-Pierre’s friend, was making a fire and they were sharing a bottle of wine. I didn’t indulge because today it has been one month without drinking alcohol and I feel great. Now, on to ‘Fate’, ‘Destiny’ or ‘Spiritual Guidance’?

Vive la France

One thing I planned to do when I sell the house is to take the girls to France. I would like to rent an old Citroën and travel around Southern France smelling the lavender. Since spring is here, maybe this will happen next fall, then again maybe just some good French cheese & baguette. So…‘Vive la France’.

What is Magick?

I was reading a booklet by Phil Hines yesterday after a friend mentioned ‘Chaos Magic’ to me. The following excerpt is from his Oven-Ready Chaos e-book, available as a PDF download. Enjoy, and remember it is the mystery of life that is the most fun.

The Wizard Returns

One morning Arthur woke up very early, shivering in his straw bed only to find Merlin looking at him from across the cave.

“I was having a bad dream,” Arthur mumbled. “I was the last person left on earth, wandering forests and streets that were empty of anyone but me.”

“Dream?” said Merlin. “That was no dream. You are the last person on earth.”

Peace

I received an interesting letter 2 days ago. It said I could join a Peace March from the comfort of my own livingroom. Sounds good since it has been around -10 to -15°C this past week or so. It reminds me of going to the Peace March in Moncton after Judith had decided to join (and run for) the Green Party of Canada. They have since set up a fund and have a page honouring Judith. So remember don’t let the Ministry of Truth tell you that “WAR IS PEACE”.

The Empress

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts.

2007 - Day 1

So a new year, a new day & new beginnings…

I hope this doesn’t get to sound like some American TV station broadcast. I woke up in good spirits, a good sign, the spirits must be helping me. Yesterday they were giving me an emotional roller-coaster of a day, oh well…I survived, but missed the ‘Happy Hour’, good because my head feels great…

What Then?

One day, when Merlin and Arthur were both in a drowsy, summery mood lying beside a stream, Merlin said, “I read a poem as a boy, a long time in the future. I wonder if you will like it?” Arthur pretended he was asleep, covering his face with his hand to ward off the July sun. Whenever Merlin talked about the future as his past, the boy needed a good deal of concentration to follow him.

Really Reality

I woke up this morning thinking about…what is really our reality. It seems that everyone has their own perception of it. Just do the circle and telling one person something and they tell the next person and so-on game. Do we actually hear and see what other people do or are we always influences by our own preconceived ideas?
