Ted Gregory 1932-2007

The death of Ted Gregory, 74, occurred at The Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home on Wednesday, February 14, 2007. Born in Riviere du Loup, Quebec, May 21, 1932, he was the eldest son of the late Frank Roy and Julia Catherine (Tingley) Gregory. Ted retired as a conductor from CNR in 1989, after 34 years of service. He attended St James Anglican Church, Moncton, had been a member of Tweedie Masonic Lodge, as well as a member of the CN pensioners.

Frederick (Ted) Gregory

My father passed away yesterday, just before noon. I had just arrived in his room. Was he waiting for me? He had a great impact on my life, he loved life and as a friend of mine wrote to me last night, “I never saw him watching TV”. He was always on the go, he loved art, animals, nature and wouldn’t stand pretension. I love you Dad…thanks for the thoughts you shared with me / us.

As I feel and smell the misty rain, I am reminded of the same feelings I had a year ago on this day. Today though I am feeling a little calmer, a year without Judith’s voice, smell and thoughts, a year with her new presence in my life, the one we have a hard time understanding here on the physical plane.
